ABOUT ME

At his core, Jared Barton is an artist. Starting out as a musician during his teenage years, he quickly picked up the guitar, piano and drums and falling in love with music. Soon after graduating from New Philadelphia High, he followed in his grandfathers, fathers and brothers footsteps to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. As a Corporal, in early 2010, Jared found himself as a disc jockey playing assorted gigs on the West Coast in San Diego and Los Angeles. After his contract was up and receiving an Honorable Discharge in 2012, Jared grabbed his bass and went on a tour around the country with the band The Great Transparency out of Columbus, Ohio.  The Great Transparency is well known for their number one hit and a number eleven hit on the Christian Rock Billboard charts off of their album Rebuild Your Love. While traveling from coast to coast, he started taking photos with a camera his father had given him. From there Jared found a true passion in capturing real emotion and history through imagery. In the summer of 2014, Jared wanted to pursue photography full time and strived to learn all he could about capturing the best photos he can. Jared then enrolled at The Art Institutes where he is currently studying for his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Digital Photography.
